Established in the year 2000, Virgin Australia is the second largest airline in Australia. Given the 'Best Airline Staff� award for 4 consecutive years by Skytrax, and 'Domestic Airline of the Year� award by CSIA, Virgin Australia is certainly a reputable airline brand. The airline flies to more than 50 destinations worldwide, and is headquartered at Bowen Hills, Brisbane. Business, Premium Economy, and Economy are the 3 classes of service offered by Virgin Australia.
Business class passengers are treated with a 3-course dining experience on long-haul flights and get to enjoy exotic wines and other alcoholic beverages. Also, Premium Economy and Economy class passengers are offered complimentary food and drinks. Seats in the Business Class come with generous recline and pitch, while Premium Economy and Economy seats are also quite comfortable and spacious. In terms of in-flight entertainment, the airline offers more than 300 hours of movies, television programs and audio channels.

Virgin Australia�s code share partners (Etihad Airways etc) operate all its flights from the London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport in the UK.
Both carry-on baggage and checked baggage allowance limit change with respect to the flight route (short haul or long haul). On international long-haul flights, the carry-on baggage limit is 2 bags + 1 personal item (<7 kg each) for Business, and 1 bag + 1 personal item (<7 kg each) for both Premium Economy and Economy class. The general checked baggage allowance limit is 2 bags (<32 kg each) for Business and 1 bag (<23 kg) for other classes.
Check-in: Virgin Australia offers many ways of check-in including airport check-in, kiosk check-in and web check-in. For international flights make sure you check-in online at least 90 minutes before your flight�s scheduled departure.
Frequent Flyer Program: Velocity is the award winning frequent flyer program of the airline. It is free to join and offers you free velocity points for a number of activities including flying, renting a car, booking a hotel, shopping and much more. Some of the rewards you can get in exchange of these velocity points are flight tickets, class upgrades, excess baggage allowance, and hotel stays.
Lounges: Virgin Australia operates more than 10 lounges across the world where Velocity Platinum, Velocity Gold, and Lounge members can relax while they wait for their flight. These lounges offer many services including complimentary snacks, drinks, shoe shine, Wi-Fi access, shower rooms, meeting rooms and more.
